Looking for a voice over game you can play online with friends? Here are three. Choicer Voicer is a free browser dubbing game: everyone takes a character in a movie scene, records their lines, and you watch the finished dub together. The Mimic Show (listed on this site as Mimic Party) is a sound-imitation game with three judges, online rooms and a pass-the-phone mode. Mimic Party on Steam is a separate, paid Windows game where the whole lobby imitates the same sound at once. We make the first two, so they get the most space. The third is from another studio.

1. Choicer Voicer: dub a movie scene together
Choicer Voicer turns a scene into a script you perform. A voice pack holds the clip and every spoken line. You hear the original line, record your own take, and move to the next one. When every line has a take, Watch dub plays the scene back with your voices in it, and Export video saves it as a file you can share.
In multiplayer, each friend claims one character and you all record at the same time, each on your own device. The host creates a room, sends a six-character code or an invite link, and the scene is done when every line has a take. There is no score and no timer. The fun is the playback, when you hear how everyone read their part.
- Free, with no account. Open thechoicervoicer.app and start. Nothing to install.
- Desktop or phone. It runs in Chrome, Edge and Safari, including on iPhone and Android. See the mobile guide.
- 2–6 players. The pack sets the number: each speaker in the scene becomes one role.
- Any scene you like. Pick a ready-made pack from the voice pack list, or make one from your own video with the Dub Pack Maker.
- Private by default. Solo takes stay in your browser. In a room, only the voice takes are shared, and they are deleted within 24 hours.
Best for: groups who want to make something together and laugh at it afterwards. Read how to play Choicer Voicer multiplayer for the step-by-step setup, or the Voice Over Game page for an overview.
2. The Mimic Show (Mimic Party): imitate the sound, face the judges
The Mimic Show is a game show for your voice. You listen to a sound, catch its rhythm, and imitate it when the countdown ends. Three judges turn around and score your take against the original, and your result is the average of the three. Animal calls, cartoon effects, whatever the pack throws at you.
There are several ways to play:
- Solo challenge to practise or chase a better score.
- Same-screen relay for 2–4 players: pass one phone or laptop around and take turns.
- Online rooms: create a room, copy the invite link, and everyone plays on their own device.
- Public rooms to join a game with other players.
A game lasts 3, 5 or 10 sounds, so a round fits in a short break. You can dress your character, pick a stage, and record your own sounds to build a personal voice pack for friends to imitate. In online rooms, the round's recordings are visible to the room and cleared after two hours. The game is free to play. Some packs, outfits and stages need Pro.
Best for: people who want a winner. It also works at a party with one device. Play The Mimic Show in your browser, or read our Mimic Party page to see how it works. It is not the same game as Mimic Party on Steam below.
3. Mimic Party on Steam
Mimic Party is a voice party game by FoliesAPP, released on Steam on August 27, 2026. Like The Mimic Show, you hear a sound and imitate it, but the whole lobby goes at once, with one attempt and no retries. A local AI scores melody, rhythm and attacks rather than how your voice sounds. Between rounds a wheel hands out bonuses and sabotages, such as echo, pitch shift, or swapping your take for a fart.
- Windows only, paid, online multiplayer for 2–5 players.
- Matches take about ten minutes.
- Sound packs can be shared through Steam Workshop. Everyone in the lobby needs the same pack installed.
Best for: a PC group that already plays together on Steam and wants something chaotic.
Which one should you pick?
- You want to make something funny to watch and share: Choicer Voicer.
- You want scores and a winner, free, in the browser: The Mimic Show.
- You are at a party with one phone: The Mimic Show's same-screen relay.
- Your friends are all on Steam: Mimic Party on Steam.
Choicer Voicer and The Mimic Show are both free, so you can try them the same evening.
Tips for any online voice game
- Wear headphones. Otherwise the original audio and other players' voices leak into your mic.
- Allow the microphone once. If you blocked it, re-enable it in the browser's site settings and refresh.
- Use a normal tab rather than private browsing, so packs and recordings are kept.
- Keep voice chat on a separate device if you can, so the call does not end up in your take.
